Learn . refine . apply

Hello, I’m Tanner Pelkey. I’m excited to say that I have graduated from ArtCenter College of Design majoring in Transportation Design, with a minor in Business. In addition, I have received a certificate in UI/UX design from UC Berkeley.

One of the most integral components of my education was the LEARN, REFINE, and APPLY skill set. An attribute about me that gives me in a unique advantage is my tenacious mindset. When I don’t know how to do something, I take the time to LEARN how to do it. Next, I REFINE what I learned into my own vision. Lastly, I APPLY everything to the design.

Using Material-Driven Design to create my luxury interior projects allows to me analyze the concept, research the future impact, create sustainable material options, design the geometry, and apply brand CMF detailing.

This was a great opportunity to test the new Substance suit taught by Nick Sherman. Adobe came to our studio space and interviewing all of the designers individually about our thoughts with the new Substance suit. We are one of the first University that Adobe taught the Substance programs.
